Day 3: Fri 1 Nov - Ho Chi Minh City
31-36 deg C, fine, sunny and humid, good visibility After breakfast we headed out to see the sights of Saigon. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, aka Town Hall, Statue of Uncle Ho, Rex Hotel and the golden apricot blossom tree and bicycles, Saigon River, Tran Hung Dao Statue - a legendry 13-century military leader, Bitexco Financial Tower and Saigon Skydeck, Saigon Opera House, Saigon Central Post Office, Notre Dame, undergoing renovations), then back to the hotel for lunch in the hotel cafe, then a little rest. Greg went out again with Bob for about an hour to the huge market complex over the road from out hotel. We met at 5pm to walk to a dinner venue chosen by Greg and Bob called Street Food, like a food court essentially. We all had meals washed down with some kind of fluid.
